Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo — In a ceremony blending tradition and community pride, Isla Mujeres Mayor Atenea Gómez Ricalde presided over the coronation of Adeny Ariadna Pool Badillo as the ambassador for National Navy Day.
The event, held at the town square, featured cultural performances by local groups, contemporary dances, and sea-inspired songs. Naval authorities, local families, and visitors attended the evening celebration.
During the protocol, Pool Badillo received her sash, crown, and a certificate of recognition, accompanied by municipal officials and naval representatives.
The municipal government said the event reaffirms its commitment to preserving traditions that strengthen the island’s identity and highlight the importance of the sea in the history and daily life of Isla Mujeres.
