Isla Mujeres Carnival Parade Brings Color and Music to Paseo de Las Aves

Colorful parade floats and participants during the Isla Mujeres Carnival on Paseo de Las Aves

Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo — Families and tourists enjoyed a vibrant Carnival parade in Isla Mujeres, filling Paseo de Las Aves with music, color, and joy as part of the “Soy Isla Mujeres” 2026 celebrations.

Due to ongoing construction and remodeling on Rueda Medina Avenue, which left central streets unsuitable, organizers moved this year’s parade to the Ampliación La Gloria neighborhood along Paseo de Las Aves, bringing the festivities closer to more families.

The traditional parade of comparsas featured music and colorful displays, reflecting the enthusiasm of children, youth, and adults who participated with dedication and creativity.

Carnival Kings and Queens waved from their floats to crowds lining the route, sharing smiles and special moments with attendees.
