SHOCKING ISLA MUJERES BAR BRAWL: FISHERMAN SHOT, SUSPECT CAPTURED

A local fisherman was reportedly shot twice during a brawl outside the 'Be' bar in Isla Mujeres. The incident occurred last night and resulted in one person being taken into custody near the fiscal dock, approximately six blocks from the scene of the crime.

The 24-year-old victim, identified as Luis Felipe N, was initially treated by private paramedics at a community center on the island. He was later transferred to the General Hospital in Cancún for further treatment. Eyewitnesses claim the dispute began when Luis questioned the suspect about why he had taken a photo of him on his cell phone. The altercation escalated into a physical fight, during which the suspect allegedly drew a firearm and shot Luis twice before fleeing.

Police reports confirm that Luis suffered gunshot wounds to both feet. Investigators found five spent bullet casings at the scene, outside the nightclub situated on Guerrero avenue, at the corner of Matamoros.

Following the incident, police officers reviewed surveillance footage, which aided in the swift identification and location of the suspect. The alleged shooter, a 45-year-old man named Daniel "P" from Guerrero, was found with a 9mm firearm in his possession.
