Shocking Connection Between Murders in Divorciados and Noh-Bec Uncovered

Missing person notice for Eduardo Aguilar Hernández next to an unrelated photo of a roadside scene with vehicles and vegetation.

On August 26, 2024, a horrifying discovery was made in the small community of Divorciados, near Bacalar. The lifeless body of a man, displaying clear signs of violence, was found by authorities. The victim had his eyes taped, hands tied, and multiple bullet wounds. Unofficially, it is believed that the victim is Eduardo Aguilar Hernandez, a 29-year-old man who was kidnapped on August 25 from the nearby community of Noh-Bec, in the municipality of Felipe Carrillo Puerto.

Early reports suggest that Aguilar Hernandez was forcibly taken by a group of armed individuals, who pushed him into a vehicle and drove off to an unknown location. The victim's family has identified the body, but official confirmation from the authorities is still pending.

This brutal incident may be connected to the murder of Eduardo Aguilar Alonso, who is believed to be the victim's father. Aguilar Alonso, a communal land commissioner in Noh-Bec, was found dead on February 8, 2023, at the main entrance of the same community. He had been missing for nearly a week before his body was discovered inside plastic bags, showing signs of torture and gunshot wounds to the thorax, chest, and head.

Both the murder of Aguilar Alonso and his son have sent shockwaves through the community of Felipe Carrillo Puerto. Investigations into both cases are ongoing, and while the motives behind these crimes remain unclear, there are suspicions of potential involvement by organized crime groups.

Authorities are diligently working to solve these murders and bring the culprits to justice. Meanwhile, the community of Noh-Bec remains on high alert as they await further developments.
