Homeless Man Found Dead Beside Trash Containers in Playa del Carmen

Trash containers along a Playa del Carmen street where the body of a homeless man was discovered in the El Fundador neighborhood

Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — A homeless man was found dead Monday afternoon at the intersection of streets 60 and 66 in the El Fundador neighborhood, lying beside a set of garbage containers.

The body was discovered after residents reported the man’s presence at that spot in the city. He was shirtless, wearing black shorts and no shoes.

Blood was visible around his mouth, though authorities have not said whether that was related to his death.

Officials confirmed the death but have not determined the cause or the circumstances that left the man lying in the street. Forensic work is expected to establish what happened and whether the death was tied to a health problem or another factor.

No conclusive information about the case has been released so far.
