CANCÚN, Mexico — A man was wounded by gunfire on Wednesday night in the 260 neighborhood, outside a taqueria located in the Prado Norte subdivision. According to initial reports, armed individuals arrived at the location and opened fire on their victim before quickly escaping without a trace.
Despite the severity of his injuries, the wounded man was transported by his own means to receive medical attention, while witnesses alerted emergency services via 911 about the incident.
Elements of the Quintana Roo Police deployed a search operation in the area, though no arrests have been reported at this time. The State Attorney General's Office was notified of the events and has initiated the corresponding investigations.
