Quintana Roo, Mexico — Starting Monday, January 19, health caravans will be touring three more municipalities in the state of Quintana Roo to provide free services to the entire population.
As at the start of every week, Quintana Roo Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa shares the locations of the caravans and reiterates the invitation to take advantage of their services.
Health Caravans Tour Quintana Roo Municipalities
The mobile “Health for All” caravans continue to expand their coverage in the state with the goal of bringing free medical services to communities, especially in areas with greater need for medical attention.
Quintanarroenses, the mobile “Health for All” caravans will be this week, from January 19 to 23 in:
- Cozumel
- Felipe Carrillo Puerto (Tepich)
- Othón P. Blanco (Luis Echeverría)
Hours, Requirements and Services
Starting at 7:00 a.m., free medical services will be offered for the whole family.
Requirements:
- Copy of INE (National Electoral Institute ID)
- CURP (Unique Population Registry Code)
The health caravans offer a wide range of free medical and preventive services, with the goal of promoting timely detection of diseases and improving the quality of life of Quintanarroense families.
Services available in the health caravans:
- General consultations
- Specialized consultations
- Laboratory studies
- X-rays
- Ultrasounds
- Mammograms
- Electrocardiograms
- Dental care
- Visual care service
- Auditory care
- Psychological care
- Nutritional counseling
- Free delivery of medications
- Ambulance for emergency transfers
Health Actions That Strengthen Social Justice
At the close of last year, Governor Mara Lezama reiterated that the health caravans are a key action that strengthens free, quality services for the most remote and vulnerable communities, closing inequality gaps and achieving social justice.
Furthermore, she detailed that the cumulative number of services provided from April 12, 2023, when the Health for All program began, to December 16, 2025, is 618,644 benefiting 136,924 people.
Finally, she highlighted that this represents more than 15 comprehensive and technological services for the detection and timely attention of diseases, covering primary and specialized care.
