Cancún, Mexico — Three people were injured in an early morning shooting attack in Cancún’s Villas Otoch neighborhood on Tuesday, with the assailants fleeing the scene before police arrived.

The incident occurred around 2:20 a.m. on the eighth private street of Arte, in Supermanzana 247 near Tules Avenue. Neighbors alerted authorities after hearing multiple gunshots.

According to initial reports, the victims—two men and one woman—were inside a residence when several armed individuals exited a white Nissan Tiida and opened fire on the home multiple times.

Witnesses reported hearing bursts of gunfire that caused panic among area residents. After the attack, the gunmen fled in an unknown direction.

At least four ambulances, both public and private, responded to the emergency call. The injured were transported to Cancún General Hospital under municipal police escort.

No arrests have been made, and authorities continue to investigate the shooting.
