Mexico City — Guatemala’s Minister of Tourism, Anayté Guardado, has stated that the planned extension of the Maya Train route presents a significant tourism opportunity for her country. The expansion is expected to create a multi-destination corridor offering beaches, archeological sites, and gastronomy to visitors.

Minister Guardado explained that with the extension of the route, a multi-destination corridor will be created that offers beaches, archeology, and gastronomy to visitors. She emphasized the potential for increased tourist traffic and economic benefits stemming from the enhanced connectivity.
