Cancún — The gasoline supply at service stations in Cancún is expected to be fully regularized shortly, according to Ana Patricia Peralta de la Peña, the municipal president of Benito Juárez.
In a message posted on social media, Peralta de la Peña stated, "Residents of Cancún, regarding the gasoline service, we inform you that we are now almost at 100% operational capacity for gas stations in Cancún, following the problem presented in the system."
According to the information she provided, as of this morning only five gasoline stations continue to experience malfunctions. These stations are located on Talleres Avenue; La Luna Avenue at Kohunlich; Prolongación Avenida Politécnico; on Ruta 4, next to the "Andrés Quintana Roo" Taxi Union in region 92; and on Chichén Itzá Avenue at Tepich, SM 41.
Mayor Ana Paty Peralta asserted that all other stations are now ready to dispense fuel normally.
Separately, the director general of the urban transport company Autocar, Santiago Carrillo Sánchez, assured that the supply is not at risk. He stated that he expects the problem to be resolved within the next few hours, as he has information that only a single company is experiencing system failures.
"The public transportation service is guaranteed on all routes," Carrillo Sánchez noted. "The buses from the company load diesel directly at their facilities; they are supplied daily by tanker trucks from Petróleos Mexicanos."
