Cancún, Mexico — Frontier Airlines announced three new direct flights between Cancún and cities in the United States, which are part of a new batch of 23 routes that the carrier will deploy starting in spring 2026.

The first will be between the tourist city of Quintana Roo and Charlotte, North Carolina, beginning on March 6 with a frequency of three flights per week.

On March 7, the connection between Cancún and Chicago Midway International Airport will start with a weekly flight. That same day, a weekly flight to Raleigh-Durham International Airport, also in North Carolina, will be activated. For the launch, all three routes will have a price of $99.

“As we look toward 2026, there is much to be excited about—from the expansion of our network to the introduction of our new First Class seats and more—and we are delighted to start with the announcement of these new routes, offering travelers even more affordable options as they plan their spring vacations next year,” commented Josh Flyr, vice president of network design and operations at Frontier.

Cancún has become one of the main international destinations for the low-cost airline, as this city stands out in 10 of its 20 busiest routes outside the United States currently.

The most prominent route is Cancún–Philadelphia with 62 monthly flights and nearly 14,500 seats available, generating over 21 million available seat miles (ASM).

Last October, the airline announced that on December 20 it will begin operating a flight between Atlanta and Puerto Vallarta, a destination where it already has flights to Denver and Dallas, thus strengthening its connectivity with Mexico.
