Mérida, Yucatán — A report of a deceased man mobilized authorities and emergency services today in the municipality of El Cuyo.
The discovery occurred this morning inside a residence, where the deceased was reportedly living.
The Tizimín Municipal Police received a call requesting assistance for a man found unconscious on a property in the locality. Paramedics from the corporation arrived at the site to provide first aid; however, after assessment, they confirmed the individual no longer showed vital signs.
Witnesses and neighbors in the area indicated the man was a foreign national and had been residing in this port town for a considerable amount of time.
Although authorities have not issued an official ruling, the preliminary hypothesis being considered is a myocardial infarction as the probable cause of death.
