Ramped-Up Waste Collection in Playa del Carmen

In an effort to keep neighborhoods clean and prevent the spread of diseases such as dengue, zika, and chikungunya, waste collection has been ramped up on various streets and avenues in Playa del Carmen. The Solidaridad City Council is urging residents to adhere to the designated garbage disposal times, which are set from Monday to Saturday, between 6 am and 2 pm.

The collection of urban solid waste is a crucial task in this popular tourist destination. Therefore, it is prioritized to prevent waste exposure that can lead to infections and diseases, while also maintaining the municipality's positive image. The waste collection department is also encouraging residents to report any instances of illegal dumping on vacant lots or on the streets and avenues of Solidaridad.
