Elderly Man Hospitalized After Bee Swarm Attack in José María Morelos

José María Morelos, Quintana Roo — An elderly man was hospitalized in serious condition after being attacked by a swarm of bees in the Dziuché municipality, according to local reports.

Emergency services dispatched an ambulance at approximately 2:53 p.m. after receiving reports that a senior citizen had been stung by a swarm in the community.

Firefighters arrived at the center of the town, where family members had already moved the victim to safety.

He was treated and transported to the IMSS Bienestar hospital in the municipal seat of José María Morelos for medical attention.

The man, identified as Emiliano G. C., sustained approximately 50 stings on various parts of his body. His condition was considered serious due to the extent of the injuries.

The patient remained under specialized medical care at the municipal hospital.
