Playa del Carmen, Mexico — A total of eight detainees, members of a powerful criminal group, and several kilograms of narcotics seized was the outcome of a raid carried out this Wednesday at an alleged drug distribution center in the Luis Donaldo Colosio neighborhood of Playa del Carmen.
The operation, initiated around 7:00 p.m., was led by elements of the Federal Ministerial Police on Avenida 10, between streets 76 and 78.
According to information revealed that day, the legal action was authorized by a Control Judge, who issued the judicial warrant after authorities presented compelling evidence of criminal activities at the location.
In total, eight people were detained, identified as Brayan Tun N, Kenia Tiburcio N, Joel Cisneros N, Piedad Reyes N, Roxana Cruz N, Andrés Ramos N, Laura Cisneros N, and Wendy Gonzalez N.
According to sources within the State Attorney General’s Office, this criminal group was led by the latter, known as “La Wendy.”
Military elements also found several kilograms of narcotics inside the property, including cocaine, methamphetamine, and marijuana.
All detainees and the confiscated illegal product were taken to the Public Ministry of the Federal Attorney General’s Office.
