Drug Trafficking Network Busted in Cancún and Playa del Carmen

In a coordinated operation led by the General Prosecutor's Office of Quintana Roo, eight suspected members of a drug trafficking network were arrested. The network was believed to be operating in the municipalities of Benito Juárez, Cancún, and Solidaridad, Playa del Carmen.

The suspects, named as Berny, Jocelyne, José Jesús, Luis Ángel, José Eduardo, Bryan Alfredo, Diego, and Jonathan, are being investigated for their potential involvement in the sale and distribution of drugs. The primary substances involved are believed to be marijuana, cocaine, and methamphetamine.

The Prosecutor's Office Specialized in the Fight Against Drug Trafficking presented compelling evidence, leading a control judge to connect the suspects to the case. The charges are related to various health crimes.

Investigations suggest that the suspects acted as drug distributors, supplying different areas of both municipalities. They are believed to have established sales points in strategic locations.
