Driver Trapped After Crashing Into CFE Pole on Federal Highway 307

Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — A driver was left trapped inside his vehicle after crashing into a CFE (Federal Electricity Commission) utility pole on Federal Highway 307, on the stretch running from Playa del Carmen toward Puerto Aventuras near the Calica bridge.

According to preliminary reports, the motorist had been driving at excessive speed before losing control of the vehicle, which left the asphalt and struck the pole.

The impact left the driver pinned inside the car, prompting a response from emergency personnel at the scene on the busy coastal highway.

Authorities have not yet released the driver’s identity or an official account of his condition.
