Shocking Discovery: Municipal Worker’s Decomposed Body Found in Playa del Carmen

In a shocking incident, the decomposed body of a municipal worker was discovered in a house in the Luis Donaldo Colosio neighborhood of Playa del Carmen. The discovery was made in the afternoon, around 3 o'clock, when local residents reported unpleasant odors coming from the property.

Responding to the reports, police officers arrived at the intersection of 74th and 25th streets, where they confirmed the presence of a decomposed body inside the house. Preliminary reports suggest that the body was found on the floor, with no apparent signs of violence.

The deceased has been identified as Tomás de Leal Flores, a native of Mérida, Yucatán, who was employed by the Solidaridad Municipal Government.

Forensic experts from the State Attorney General's Office (FGE) arrived on the scene to remove the body. It has been transported to the Forensic Medical Service (Semefo), where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
