Cuban Man Arrested in Cancun for Alleged Feminicidio of Partner
Cancun, Quintana Roo — A Cuban man has been arrested on suspicion of killing his partner, Lizbeth Burgos Vera, after her body was found buried in the patio of a home following a missing person report.
Yadriel C. was taken into custody in Chiapas on Tuesday, authorities said. He remains there pending extradition and further legal proceedings.
The Quintana Roo State Prosecutor’s Office has opened a feminicidio investigation, with forensic experts and investigators gathering evidence to determine the full circumstances of the crime and the suspect’s responsibility.
Officials have not disclosed the cause of death or how long the body may have been buried. The case remains under investigation.
