Cozumel to Host Mexican Caribbean Food Festival in 2026

Cozumel island setting for the 5th Mexican Caribbean Gastronomic Festival

Cozumel, Quintana Roo — Cozumel has been announced as the host of the 5th Mexican Caribbean Gastronomic Festival, an event that will bring together the flavors, aromas, and traditions characterizing the region in February 2026.

The so-called Island of the Swallows will become a meeting point for traditional cooks, chefs, producers, and artisans whose work preserves and strengthens the culinary identity of the state.

The festival will allow for the dissemination of the Mexican Caribbean’s gastronomic richness, in addition to boosting the local economy and strengthening the participation of communities that give life to this culinary heritage.

According to state authorities, the next edition will be one of the most representative due to its venue and the growth that the sector has recorded.

The new edition of the festival will bring together exponents from across the region to promote traditional techniques, local products, and contemporary proposals that distinguish Caribbean cuisine.

The expectation is to attract national and international visitors who wish to live an integral and authentic gastronomic experience.

The event will not only celebrate regional cuisine but also drive cultural tourism, the creation of networks among producers, and the visibility of gastronomy as a pillar of local development.

In announcing the venue, the governor of Quintana Roo, Mara Lezama, stated, “We must await the date with pleasure” and celebrate the cultural value that this festival represents for the island and the entire state.
