Tulum, Quintana Roo — Educational and health authorities have activated emergency protocols following the confirmation of a chickenpox outbreak at the "Tulum" Kindergarten. At least 30 minors have presented symptoms characteristic of the disease, including fever, general malaise, and skin eruptions.
In response to the situation, the school's administration, in coordination with the Secretary of Health, has implemented preventive measures to contain the spread of the virus. These measures include the temporary suspension of classes, a thorough sanitization of the facilities, and medical monitoring of the affected students.
The Secretary of Health has issued recommendations to parents for identifying the symptoms of chickenpox and to avoid self-medication. Furthermore, parents are urged to keep children at home if they show signs of the illness and to go to the nearest health center to receive timely medical attention.
It is expected that the coordinated actions will allow for the containment of the outbreak and ensure the well-being of the child community in the shortest time possible.
