Motul, Yucatan — The Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) will carry out a scheduled power cut on Wednesday, July 8, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. to perform maintenance work, affecting several communities in the municipality of Motul, according to the local government.

The outage will also temporarily suspend drinking water service in the municipal seat and various outlying communities, as the main water supply plant will be without electricity during that period.

The following communities will lose power:

  • Kambul
  • Mesatunich
  • Kaxatah
  • Dzununcán
  • Tanya
  • Kancabal
  • Kopté

  • Kancabchén

In the city of Motul, the following neighborhoods will also be affected:

  • San Carlos
  • Santiago Castillo

Authorities urged residents to store enough water before 8 a.m. to cover basic household needs during the service interruption. They also advised taking necessary precautions and staying tuned to official Motul city government channels for any changes to the schedule.
