Cancún. A security operation conducted last night in the Villas Otoch Primera Etapa subdivision resulted in the seizure of several vehicles reported stolen and the arrest of five individuals allegedly connected to these incidents.
The police action was concentrated on Cipreses private street, in Region 247, just meters from Tules Avenue, where officers from the Benito Juárez Municipal Secretariat of Citizen Security and Transit implemented a preventive cordon covering at least two blocks, which drew the attention of local residents.
During the intervention, agents detected the suspects in possession of stolen units, including a Ford EcoSport truck, an Explorer, a BMW vehicle, and two motorcycles, which were immediately secured.
Elements from the FRI Group and the Preventive Police participated in the deployment, coordinating the closure of roadways and the securing of both the individuals and the vehicles.
The detainees were placed at the disposal of the competent authority to determine their legal status, while the vehicles were placed under custody for corresponding investigations.
