The 'Live with Pride' festival is scheduled to be held on August 24th and 25th at Cancún's Parque de las Palapas. This event, organized by the Pride Cancún Committee in partnership with the Institute of Culture and Arts, aims to increase visibility, acceptance, and respect for the LGBTTTIQ+ community.
The president of the Pride Cancún Committee, Linger Méndez Vidal, revealed that the festival will showcase a variety of cultural activities. These include performances by dance academies and a Drag show. The festival also aims to highlight the significance of the LGBTTTIQ+ community throughout the year, using the hashtag #WeExistAllYear.
The 'Live with Pride' festival will also support local vendors at the Parque de las Palapas who have been struggling economically. The hope is that in the future, the festival will expand to a four-day event annually, promoting "Pink Tourism" in Cancún. The organizers are committed to fostering equality and respect for the LGBTTTIQ+ community.
