Cancún, Quintana Roo — City officials in Cancún have announced a lineup of free weekend activities designed for families and public enjoyment, led by Mayor Ana Paty Peralta.
The schedule includes the Expo Artesanos y Emprendedores, a local artisan and entrepreneur fair running from Friday, February 27 to Sunday, March 1 at Puerto Juárez, near the Ultramar ferry terminal. The fair will operate from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m., featuring local products and creative offerings.
Residents and visitors can access beaches including Las Perlas, Langosta, Tortugas, and Forum for free via the Ruta Mar public transportation service. The service runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for departures and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. for returns.
On Friday, children’s entertainment arrives at Parque de las Palapas with “La Titería con la tía Claudia” starting at 6 p.m. Saturday features Tiziana’s Walking Tour, a guided exploration of the city’s history and identity beginning at 4:45 p.m., followed by Tardes de Baile at Parque del Crucero from 5 p.m.
Also on Saturday, the Teatro de la Ciudad Cancún hosts a Women’s Reading Club discussing “La bailarina de Auschwitz” from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday brings Tardes de Baile to Plaza de la Reforma starting at 5 p.m.
The weekend concludes with the free show “Para ti Quintana Roo” by the Municipal Folkloric Ballet Company at the Teatro de la Ciudad at 6 p.m., and traditional Noches Caribeñas at Parque de las Palapas from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., featuring music, dance, and artistic expressions for all ages.
