Cancún, Mexico — From June 16 to 30, Cancún will host one of the most anticipated cultural events of the year: the International Festival of Music Ópera Maya 2025, titled Brighter Days. The festival promises a diverse and high-caliber musical experience set against the backdrop of an unparalleled natural environment.
A Fusion of Music and Nature
The festival will take place in the gardens of the Hotel Dos Playas Faranda Cancún, where ensembles and galas will blend classical music, opera, and Mexican traditions with a tropical ambiance.
The program begins on Wednesday, June 18, at 7:30 PM with a Wind Ensemble performance, followed by a String Ensemble on Thursday, June 19, and a Brass Ensemble on Friday, June 20. Tickets for these events are priced at 100 MXN per person, with an optional 350 MXN package that includes drinks and a buffet dinner at the Iguanas restaurant.
On Sunday, June 22, at 4:00 PM, the festival will feature Instrumental and Chamber Music ensembles, offering an intimate afternoon with internationally acclaimed musicians. The same pricing structure applies.
Highlight Galas
The following week includes two major galas. On Monday, June 23, at 7:30 PM, the Gala of Mexican Music will celebrate the nation’s folkloric identity. On Wednesday, June 25, the highly anticipated Opera Gala will take place, both with accessible pricing and optional dinner packages.
The festival culminates on Friday, June 27, at 7:30 PM with the exclusive Brighter Days Gourmet Opera Gala, combining premium dining, drinks, and a unique operatic experience for 800 MXN per person.
