Cancún, Quintana Roo — A Cancún arts center will celebrate Valentine’s Day with a free theater festival featuring performances, discussions, and cultural networking events.
The FARO Villas Otoch Paraíso arts center will host the “Las Protagonistas” festival on February 14, transforming the Day of Love and Friendship into a celebration centered on storytelling, community voices, and collaborative cultural work.
The festival begins at 12:00 p.m. with a matinee performance of “Asteroide 8n16.” At 3:00 p.m., the company will present the play “Es lo que nos toca ¿no?” followed by a public discussion.
At 5:00 p.m., the piece “Ella es mi voz” will take the stage. The day concludes at 6:00 p.m. with a Cultural Agents Meeting, a space designed for networking and strengthening community ties.
The festival aims to offer an integrated experience where theater serves as a tool for expression, connection, and social transformation, highlighting local stage talent and encouraging active community participation.
