Cancun Airport Sees Gradual Decline in Flights During Peak Season

Cancun, Quintana Roo — Cancun International Airport is experiencing a gradual decline in flight operations during the peak summer season, with 430 flights scheduled for Tuesday, down from 509 on Saturday, according to airport operator Aeropuertos del Sureste (ASUR).

The downward trend began Sunday with 475 flights and continued Monday with 449. Tuesday’s total includes 257 international and 173 domestic services.

Of the 214 arrivals scheduled, 86 are domestic and 128 international. Departures total 216, with 87 domestic and 129 international flights.

Thirty-two airlines are operating at the airport, connecting to 55 international and 18 domestic destinations. International routes include Amsterdam, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Frankfurt, London, Los Angeles, Madrid, Miami, New York, Paris, Toronto, and Zurich, among others. Domestic destinations include Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Tijuana, and Veracruz.

The airlines serving Cancun include Aeromexico, Air Canada, American Airlines, British Airways, Delta, Frontier, JetBlue, Southwest, United, Volaris, and others.
