Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — A 35-year-old Canadian man was found dead Sunday morning inside a residence in downtown Playa del Carmen.
Municipal police officers responded to the home after receiving a report of an unconscious person. Once inside, they located the man and requested paramedics, who confirmed he had no vital signs.
Preliminary reports indicate there were no apparent signs of violence at the scene, and authorities have not linked the death to any criminal act.
Forensic personnel from the State Prosecutor’s Office later processed the home and collected evidence. The body was removed for further procedures as investigators work to determine the cause and circumstances of the death.
