Cancún, Mexico — A traffic accident at kilometer 9.5 on Kukulcán Boulevard resulted in three people injured and material damage after a public transport bus collided with the structure of a bus stop.
The incident occurred at 2:37 p.m. when the driver of a red Mercedes Benz bus attempted to park and lost control of the vehicle. The bus subsequently struck the bus stop and ran over two pedestrians who were in the area.
Furthermore, the impact reached a blue Peugeot Rifter that was parked at the site, causing damage to its bodywork.
Following the incident, one passenger from the bus and the two pedestrians sustained injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital to receive medical attention. Transit authorities arrived at the scene to carry out the corresponding procedures and remove the involved vehicles.
