Cancún, Mexico — The Benito Juárez Municipality, through its Unit of Transparency, Access to Public Information and Protection of Personal Data, has announced the call for entries for the Municipal Short Film Contest in Transparency “Dímelo en Corto 2026.”
The head of the department, Monsserrath Milián Galera, explained that the contest is aimed at adolescents and young people aged 13 to 17. Participants can enter individually or in teams, and the central theme will be the protection of personal data in the digital environment. Registrations will be open until January 9, 2026.
Contest Specifications and Prizes
The short films may be recorded using cell phones, sports cameras, photo cameras, or animation techniques. The productions must meet the following requirements:
- Horizontal format
- Full HD 1080p quality
- File in mp4 (H.264 or MPEG-4)
- Maximum size of 1 GB
- Include subtitles
Once the submissions are evaluated, the jury will announce the winners during a ceremony on January 28, 2026. Mobile devices will be awarded to the top three places, in addition to a "Public Prize."
