Major Drug Bust in Quintana Roo: 4 Arrested

Quintana Roo, Mexico — In a series of simultaneous operations across the state of Quintana Roo, security forces seized various types of drugs in three municipalities and arrested four individuals allegedly linked to crimes against public health.

The operations, led by the State Attorney General's Office, were conducted with the joint support of the Mexican Army, the Secretariat of the Navy, the National Guard, and the Secretariat of Citizen Security, demonstrating effective coordination in the fight against drug trafficking.

Details of the Operations

In Benito Juárez, authorities executed search warrants in a specific housing development, where they found marijuana, cocaine hydrochloride, and crack. As a result, two individuals identified as Yulizbet Esmeralda and Mauricio were detained for alleged possession of illicit substances.

Additionally, in another action within the same development, Irvin Alejandro and Guadalupe were detained. They were found in possession of white and crystalline substances with characteristics similar to synthetic drugs.

In Othón P. Blanco, officers secured narcotics and cell phones during an operation in the town of Subteniente López. Meanwhile, on the island of Cozumel, green herb and fragments appearing to be "crystal" were located.

All secured properties were sealed and remain under the custody of the State Attorney General's Office.

This type of action represents a constant and firm response in the fight against retail drug dealing in the region, contributing to the strengthening of public security and reducing the presence of drugs in communities.

The evidence and the detainees will be presented before judicial authorities, who will determine their legal status in the coming hours, evidencing a sustained effort to maintain peace in the state.
