TULUM — The Attorney General's Office of Quintana Roo executed a search warrant at the bar "Los Cantaritos," located in the municipality of Tulum, as part of the ongoing investigation into the femicide of a woman whose body was found lifeless this past Monday beside the Tulum-Felipe Carrillo Puerto federal highway.
The operation was carried out between Wednesday night and the early hours of Thursday, with the participation of Municipal Police officers, State Police, and ministerial personnel from the Attorney General's Office. During the proceedings, the establishment was secured, and a search was conducted for possible evidence that could help clarify the crime.
To date, the Attorney General's Office has not issued an official statement regarding the results of the search nor confirmed if any individuals were detained or evidence was seized. However, sources close to the investigation indicated that this action is part of the open lines of inquiry surrounding the events.
According to preliminary information, the victim was allegedly abducted inside the bar "Los Cantaritos" by two men, who subsequently forced her into a taxi identified with the "Tiburones del Caribe" union. Since then, the vehicle and the alleged perpetrators have been sought by authorities.
The woman's body was located on Monday morning beside the federal highway at kilometer 218, near the Ka’an Lu’um Lagoon, showing signs of violence. This discovery prompted a broad police mobilization and the opening of a formal investigation for the crime of femicide.
Authorities continue to gather testimonies and analyze surveillance camera footage from the area to determine the route taken by the alleged aggressors. The Attorney General's Office reiterated that the investigation remains ongoing and that details will be withheld to avoid obstructing the judicial process.
The search of the bar "Los Cantaritos" is part of a series of actions implemented by the Attorney General's Office to clarify the case and bring those responsible for this crime, which has caused outrage in Tulum, to justice.
