Cancún, Mexico — A joint operation conducted by municipal, state, and federal authorities on Wednesday at a ranch along the federal highway between Cancún and Leona Vicario resulted in the rescue of two kidnapping victims and the discovery of two deceased bodies.

Operation Launched Following Armed Suspects Report

The mobilization began in the afternoon after authorities received a report of armed individuals at the property. Officers secured the area and successfully freed the two individuals who had been held captive.

Forensic teams then inspected the premises, locating the two bodies. The search operation was suspended at nightfall but is scheduled to resume early the following day to comb the area for additional bodies, weapons, personal belongings, or evidence that could identify the criminal group responsible for the ranch.

No Official Statement from State Prosecutor’s Office

As of now, the Quintana Roo State Attorney General’s Office has not released an official statement regarding the operation, the rescued victims, or the discovered bodies.

The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to gather further details about the incident.
