Cancún, Quintana Roo — A man wanted for attempted homicide was arrested in Benito Juárez after police officers on patrol came across him and found he had an outstanding arrest warrant.
The suspect, identified as Jesús Noé, was detained on Isla Chipre Street during a joint operation involving the Public Security Department, the Mexican Army, the Mexican Navy and the National Guard, authorities said.
According to the Public Security Department, the man suddenly walked into the path of a patrol vehicle, forcing the driver to stop abruptly to avoid hitting him. Officers got out to check on the man and ask why he was in the area. A records search through the C5 security center revealed an active judicial order against him for attempted aggravated homicide.
The suspect was taken into custody and handed over to the Quintana Roo State Prosecutor’s Office, where his legal status will be determined.
