Grupo Lomas Founder Honored for 50 Years in Tourism

Mexico City, Mexico — The Mexican Association of Women Entrepreneurs (AMEXME) National A.C. has awarded Dolores López Lira e Hinojo, President of the Board of Grupo Lomas, for her distinguished career spanning over 50 years in the travel and hospitality industry. The recognition was presented during the organization’s 60th-anniversary celebration, which brought together public figures and special guests.

A Lifetime of Leadership and Impact

AMEXME, a network comprising 74 chapters and 5,000 businesswomen nationwide, honored López Lira for her exceptional contributions to Mexico’s economic, social, and community development. The award ceremony, titled Gala de Mujer, took place at the Marquis Reforma Hotel in Mexico City before an audience of over 400 distinguished attendees.

Upon receiving the Empresaria Novel award, López Lira stated, “I hope this achievement inspires more women to believe in their dreams and take action with confidence and purpose. My commitment is to continue building a path where our legacy has a real impact on people, communities, and the planet.”

She emphasized Grupo Lomas’ vision, saying, “At Grupo Lomas, we believe in a future with more women leading change. I am convinced that the Mexican dream is achievable, and we will make it happen together.”

A Legacy of Excellence

López Lira, regarded as one of Mexico’s foremost female leaders in tourism, has previously been recognized by AMEXME’s Riviera Maya chapter, the Cancún, Puerto Morelos, and Isla Mujeres Hotel Association, and the Travel Allies Society, a prominent organization representing top travel agencies in the U.S. and Canada.

Grupo Lomas, one of Mexico’s most significant tourism corporations, operates multiple business units, including a travel agency, transportation services, a vacation club, ecotourism parks, and hotels in Riviera Maya, Valle de Guadalupe, and Mexico City. The company employs nearly 6,000 people and is renowned for its environmentally responsible practices and commitment to fostering an exceptional workplace environment.
