Playa del Carmen, Mexico — A man, reportedly a fisherman, was fatally shot on Thursday afternoon outside a residence in the Forjadores neighborhood of this city.
Incident Details
Residents reported the shooting around 7 p.m., prompting a police response to the intersection of Avenida 110 and 15 Sur. According to witnesses, an armed assailant intercepted the victim in the street and fired multiple times, killing him.
Private paramedics arrived at the scene but confirmed the man had already died. Forensic personnel from the State Attorney General’s Office collected the body for transfer to the Medical Examiner’s Office.
Ongoing Investigation
Authorities launched a search operation in the area, though no arrests have been made as of yet.
The case remains under investigation by local law enforcement.
