Cancún, Quintana Roo — Water utility Aguakan received recognition from the Salvati Foundation for its commitment to supporting women battling breast cancer, reinforcing its corporate social responsibility efforts focused on community health and well-being.

The company strengthened its partnership with the Salvati Foundation, an organization dedicated to comprehensive cancer care, particularly for breast cancer patients. This collaboration provides interdisciplinary patient-focused services including physical therapy, psychiatry, psychology, oncology nutrition, support groups, monitoring, life purpose guidance, and onco-imaging services delivered through professional, humane, and warm treatment that positively impacts patients’ quality of life.

“We deeply thank Aguakan for their constant commitment to women facing cancer,” said Ana Laura García, a representative of the Salvati Foundation, during the recognition ceremony. “Their support allows us to continue offering comprehensive, dignified, and timely care to our patients, strengthening their physical and emotional recovery process.”

Angélica Vázquez, a breast cancer survivor and foundation volunteer, emphasized the importance of such partnerships: “The support we receive makes a big difference. Knowing that companies like Aguakan join this cause gives us hope and reminds us we’re not alone in this process.”

Perla Kumul, another breast cancer survivor who benefited from access to compression sleeves for oncological lymphedema, shared: “Access to this type of support significantly improves our quality of life. Thanks to these partnerships, many women have better tools for our recovery and daily lives.”

Through its corporate social responsibility program, Aguakan will continue developing actions focused on prevention, awareness, and women’s well-being, both in the community and within the organization.

“For Aguakan, social responsibility goes beyond public service; it’s a conviction,” said Carlos González, head of Institutional Public Relations at Aguakan. “Working hand in hand with the Salvati Foundation allows us to directly contribute to women’s well-being and strengthen the social fabric in Quintana Roo.”
