CANCÚN, Q. Roo — Authorities have confirmed that the civic-military parade for September 16 will take place in Cancún to mark the anniversary of Mexico's Independence.

The event is anticipated to include the participation of more than 8,000 individuals from military institutions, schools, and municipal agencies. The procession will commence at 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of Cobá and Tulum Avenues, proceeding to the Main Rostrum in front of City Hall, where local authorities will witness the passing of the contingents.

In the previous edition, participants included the Secretariat of National Defense, the Secretariat of the Navy, the National Guard, as well as students from various schools and municipal officials, reaching similar numbers in attendees and participants. This year, the event is expected to maintain the same scale, solidifying its status as one of the most representative celebrations of national identity in the city.

Authorities have called on citizens to attend in an orderly and respectful manner to ensure a safe and festive environment.
