Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo — The municipal government of Isla Mujeres has presented its calendar of events for the entire month of September, with the most prominent activities scheduled for Monday, September 15, in commemoration of another anniversary of the beginning of Mexico's War of Independence.
Municipal President Atenea Gómez Ricalde will lead the patriotic activities on September 15. Through Facebook publications, the various programs have been announced, with events that began on September 1.
What Activities Will Be Held in Isla Mujeres This September 15?
The September 15 patriotic activities in Isla Mujeres will be divided into different time slots to cover as much of the day as possible. The schedule is as follows:
- 8:00 am: Civic Parade on Avenida Rueda Medina.
- 8:00 pm: Alegría Mexicana Parade. It will begin at the Stingray restaurant, proceed along Avenida Hidalgo, and conclude at the Municipal Esplanade.
- 9:00 pm (Insular Zone): Night of the Cry of Independence at the Municipal Esplanade.
- Stellar performance by the Super Show de Los Vázquez.
- Stellar performance by the band "La Poderosa."
- 9:00 pm (Continental Zone): Mexican Festival.
- Stellar performance by Ricky Tham.
- Stellar performance by the band "La Magnífica del Sureste."
No activities open to the public are planned for Tuesday, September 16, as it is a mandatory federal holiday according to the Federal Labor Law. Municipal facilities will be closed and will resume services on Wednesday, September 17.
