TULUM — A man lost his life after being shot inside a car wash in the Guerra de Castas neighborhood, an incident that mobilized emergency services and security forces.

The event occurred on the evening of yesterday at the "Autolavado RG," located at the intersection of Sagitario Oriente and Géminis Norte. Witnesses reported that during the shooting, there were customers in a nearby taco stand and seafood restaurant who ran for cover.

When paramedics arrived, they confirmed the victim no longer had vital signs. Subsequently, personnel from the State Attorney General's Office carried out the corresponding procedures, including the removal of the body and the collection of ballistic evidence.

Although a search operation was activated with support from the National Guard and Municipal Police, no arrests have been reported at this time.

The crime adds to the list of violent incidents that have kept the population of Tulum on alert, particularly in neighborhoods like Guerra de Castas, where insecurity has been a constant complaint from residents.
