MEXICO CITY — Quintana Roo Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa expressed her full support for the leadership and significant achievements of Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, which she stated have advanced social justice and humanism for the benefit of millions of Mexicans. The governor's endorsement came during her attendance at the president's First State of the Union Address at the National Palace.

In her address to the nation, President Sheinbaum highlighted several key infrastructure projects for the state of Quintana Roo. She announced the scheduled completion of the Nichupté Bridge in Cancún within the year. She also confirmed the completion of the Chetumal to Campeche section of the Tren Maya and noted that a freight terminal and maintenance workshops for the project are currently under construction.

Furthermore, the president outlined advancements in healthcare infrastructure, specifically the construction of a new general hospital in Felipe Carrillo Puerto. The facility is planned to include 60 inpatient beds, 21 consultation rooms—16 of which are for outpatient care—along with clinical laboratories, X-ray rooms, and departments for tomography, ultrasound, and mammography.

Governor Lezama stated that President Sheinbaum, whom she referred to as the "supreme commander of Mexico's Armed Forces," has demonstrated her complete support for the people of Quintana Roo through tangible actions. These actions include investments in healthcare, road, and educational infrastructure, as well as social programs that have improved the quality of life for residents.

Lezama also recognized the historic nature of Sheinbaum's presidency, noting, "When Doctor Claudia Sheinbaum assumed the presidency, all women in Mexico won, governing with humanism, leadership, and principles." She added, "Her vision is forcefully building the second floor of a historic transformation in our nation."

The governor emphasized that this new form of governance, which she described as humanist with a feminist heart and based on the New Agreement for the Well-being and Development of Quintana Roo, places citizens at the center of decision-making. She stated the approach prioritizes care for the poor and aims for sustainable development and shared prosperity.

Lezama concluded by expressing her gratitude to the president for driving development with social justice, equality, and respect for the people of Quintana Roo. She affirmed that under Sheinbaum's leadership, the transformation continues to move forward for women and men, the elderly, the youth, and children, promoting justice, well-being, and prosperous development.
