Mexico City, Mexico — Mexican cyclist Isaac del Toro has risen to the 11th position in the latest Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) world rankings, making him the highest-ranked Latin American rider. The 21-year-old from Baja California now holds 3,104 points, marking a significant leap of 46 places since the previous update.

Del Toro, nicknamed “El Torito,” has solidified his status as one of cycling’s rising stars. His recent achievements include a second-place finish at the Giro d’Italia, followed by victories at the Tour of Austria and the Clàssica Terres de l’Ebre in Barcelona, Spain.

Slovenian cyclist Tadej Pogacar, a four-time Tour de France champion, maintains the top spot with 11,465 points. Denmark’s Mads Pedersen follows in second place with 4,555.6 points. Del Toro’s ascent highlights his growing prominence in international competitions.
