Tulum, Quintana Roo — This Friday, July 25, at 9:00 a.m., the "Shared Prosperity Market" will officially open at the Dos Aguas park dome, marking a regional initiative aimed at strengthening community economies and showcasing the work of local producers and artisans.
A Collaborative Effort for Economic Growth
The project is the result of a partnership between the municipal governments of Tulum, Bacalar, José María Morelos, and Felipe Carrillo Puerto, with support from the Quintana Roo state government. The market seeks to promote local economic development, foster social justice, and celebrate the cultural identity of participating communities.
By providing a direct sales platform for producers, artisans, and craftsmen, the initiative aims to establish a fair and supportive trade network. The program is built on principles of equity, inter-municipal collaboration, and pride in the region’s cultural heritage.
Public Invited to Inaugural Event
The opening ceremony will be open to the public, with municipal and state officials attending the ribbon-cutting. Attendees can expect a diverse display of products and craftsmanship from the involved regions.
The market’s guiding motto, “When municipalities unite, the people prosper,” reflects its mission to create a sustainable and inclusive model for community-based commerce. Authorities anticipate expanding the initiative to other locations in the state.
The event represents a step toward a more equitable economic system, emphasizing solidarity and cultural preservation.
