Shooting at Playa del Carmen bar, suspects arrested

Playa del Carmen, Mexico — The Secretary of Citizen Security confirmed responding to reports of alleged gunfire in the Gonzalo Guerrero neighborhood near "El Caribeño" bar, located on Avenida 45 Norte between 32nd and 34th Streets North.

Police Operation Leads to Arrests

Law enforcement officers launched an operation on Wednesday night after receiving reports of suspected firearm discharges in the vicinity of the bar.

As a result of the rapid police intervention, two individuals allegedly connected to the incident were detained. Authorities confirmed no injuries had been reported at the time of the operation.

Security Measures Enforced

The area was immediately cordoned off to facilitate investigative procedures and ensure the safety of residents and passersby. The situation remains under control, with ongoing investigations to determine the circumstances of the incident and the involvement of those detained.
