Hit-and-Run on Tulum Highway Leaves Man Dead

Riviera Maya, Mexico — A tragic hit-and-run incident occurred early this morning on Federal Highway 307, near the Aldea Tulum subdivision at kilometer 260, leaving one man dead.

Fatal Collision Under Investigation

According to preliminary reports, the victim was walking along the highway when he was struck by a vehicle, which threw him several meters. The impact left the man lifeless at the scene.

Authorities, including municipal police, the National Guard, and the State Attorney General’s Office, swiftly arrived to secure the area, conduct forensic examinations, and remove the body. The vehicle involved in the collision was seized, though it remains unclear whether the driver has been detained.

The site was cordoned off as investigators from the Attorney General’s Office carried out their duties. The victim’s identity has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin and completion of legal procedures.
