Puerto Aventuras, Q. ROO — The state of Quintana Roo, a powerhouse in the sport of windsurfing, will commence the new 2025-26 selection cycle for the national CONADE Olympics this weekend in Puerto Aventuras. The state delegation is the two-time defending champion in the discipline at the CONADE Olympics (2024 and 2025).
The president of the Quintana Roo Windsurfing Association, Adriana Quiterio, announced the four dates of the 2025-26 State Windsurfing Circuit. The first stage will take place on Saturday, September 20, and Sunday, September 21, at the Marina in Puerto Aventuras, which belongs to the municipality of Playa del Carmen.
The second and final stage of this year will be held on November 7, 8, and 9 at Marina Puerto Cancún in the municipality of Benito Juárez.
Subsequently, in 2026, the third and fourth stages will be held. The third stage will return to Puerto Aventuras on Saturday, January 24, and Sunday, January 25. The fourth stage will be held from March 20 to 22 in the municipality of Bacalar.
It should be noted that during this same period, Quintana Roo’s windsurfers will take part in various regattas across the country. These include the Marina-Yucatán Cup (October 9-12), the Aarón Sáenz Regatta in Acapulco (December 4-7), the X State of Mexico Cup (January 30 – February 2), and the WesMex in Puerto Vallarta (March 5-8).
Adriana Quiterio also stated that these events will serve as preparation and experience to aspire to international qualifications representing Mexico, seeking to further consolidate Quintana Roo’s windsurfing as the best in the country.
