Mérida, Yucatán — Yucatecan driver Carlos Novelo, a member of the Trucks México Series of NASCAR México with Escudería Telmex, has concluded a dream 2025 season that solidifies him as one of the greatest promises of national motorsport. Just four years after starting his career, the young driver has built a rise as solid as it is accelerated, already positioning himself among the talents with the greatest projection in the country.

His performance did not go unnoticed: this year he was distinguished with the 2025 Yucatecan Sports Merit award, a recognition that reaffirms his competitive impact and his role as a reference for motor sports in the state.

The results speak for him:

  • Finalist in the Trucks México Series, among the top four in the country.
  • 2025 National GTM Light Runner-up in the SuperCopa Roshfrans.
  • Absolute champion of the 24 Hours of Mexico City (Endurance 2).
  • Debut in NASCAR México at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez.
  • Third place in a heat of his debut at Nauticopa.

In addition to his track career, Novelo promotes new talents from his role as co-founder of the Outdoor Jaguares Racing Team (OJRT), an academy that this year celebrated Liam Jean’s National Runner-up in the Baby category, strengthening the presence of the southeast in formative motorsport.

2026 Objective: The Trucks México Series Championship

With sights set on the next season, Carlos Novelo announced that he will focus all his sporting strategy on the Trucks México Series, with a clear objective: to conquer both the regular season championship and the Playoff championship.

To achieve this, he will have a reinforced technical structure, more specialized preparation, and a media program that will expand his national presence.

“The Yucatecan Sports Merit motivates me to go for more. In 2026 I am totally focused on the Trucks México Series, with the goal of fighting for the regular season championship and the Playoff championship for Yucatán,” stated the driver.

With a brilliant 2025 and a clear vision for the future, Carlos Novelo is emerging as one of the names that could mark Mexican motorsport in the coming years.
