Turtle season is set to commence on the beaches of Yucatan, typically starting between the last week of March and the first week of April. The Cetmar 17 Turtle Camp is gearing up for the nesting season along the Yucatecan coast. A team of dedicated volunteers is already hard at work, ensuring everything is in place to provide the best care and protection for these marine species.
This year, the team is optimistic about a more successful season that will further aid in the recovery of these magnificent creatures. However, it's worth noting that the support from the Ecological Police will be absent this year.
Despite this, the Cetmar 17 staff is ready and waiting for the first nesting report, which will officially kick off this year's turtle season.
