Authorities conducting a raid at a human trafficking location in Cancún

Cancún, Quintana Roo – Authorities located two women who were victims of human trafficking during an operation carried out at a property near Tulum Avenue in the Benito Juárez Supermanzana 89. The action was led by the State Attorney General’s Office, with support from the Secretariat of the Navy and the National Guard, in compliance with a search warrant issued by a Control Judge.

Two Arrested During the Intervention

At the site, Antonia “N” and Gamaliel “N” were arrested, identified as responsible for managing the location and controlling the women. According to initial investigations, the victims—one of Dominican nationality and another Mexican—had arrived at the establishment to work as waitresses and hostesses, but ended up being forced to engage in sexual acts with clients under threats.

Evidence of the Exploitation Scheme

Authorities documented that a fee of 500 pesos was charged for each service, of which the managers received half, in addition to demanding payments for the use of rooms. The detained woman kept the accounts and provided condoms to the victims, who had to submit to these conditions to keep their jobs.

Seizures and Victim Assistance

During the search, notebooks with records, a payment terminal, cell phones, and other objects were seized, which are now part of the investigation file. The property was also placed under official custody.

After their location, both women were taken to the facilities of the Attorney General’s Office to receive comprehensive care. Meanwhile, Antonia “N” and Gamaliel “N” were placed at the disposal of the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Combating Human Trafficking Crimes for their probable involvement in the modality of third-party prostitution.
